Responsibilities:
MARINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
At TYS, the leading Volvo Penta dealer in the GTA, we uphold the highest standards in vessel care. We are seeking a skilled and polished Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will travel to the vessels to perform repairs and maintenance on diesel/gas inboard engines and water systems on vessels that range from 30’- 80’.
You should be adaptable and prepared for the diverse challenges of the marine industry, as this position requires flexibility to manage seasonal work, winter projects, and varying schedules. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Summer (Boating Season): Conduct maintenance and repairs on vessel drivelines (engines, transmissions, steering).
- Spring/Fall (Influx Seasons): Winterize and commission water systems.
- Winter Projects: Complete major repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Year-Round: Repair fresh water, sanitation (black water), electrical systems, and onboard accessories.
- Execute diagnostics and repairs from work orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Service Fusion work order platform
- Keep the shop tidy and comply with environmental regulations.
- Perform offsite/mobile work as required
- Other duties as required.
