Market Access Manager, Central & Eastern Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Africa

Imagine using your talent and expertise to help people hear. Cochlear offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a Market Access Manager (m/f/d) fostering the Standard of Care programs in the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Central & Eastern Europe.

This new role will support our revenue growth by implementing strategic initiatives including but not limited to:

  • Newborn hearing screening programs
  • Early Interventions
  • Improvement of upgrade funding and penetration rates
  • Bilateral CI treatment
  • Implanting adults which are by far out the biggest growth opportunity
  • Introduction of Remote Care as a cost-effective solution
  • Introduction of AI as a cost-effective solution

    Responsibilities:

    As a Market Access Manager, you will:

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Partner with local experts and management teams to anticipate legislative, regulatory, and policy changes. Define and prioritize local market access, government affairs, and patient advocacy strategies.

  • Provide Expertise: Utilize clinical guidelines, patient pathways, and economic models. Conduct systematic reviews and manage external consultants to support market access initiatives.
  • Improve Access: Build and maintain networks with government officials, HTA bodies, and professional organizations. Empower local teams to influence legislative and reimbursement policies.
  • Support HTA Submissions: Facilitate HTA reimbursement submissions, negotiations, and approvals. Collaborate with global and regional teams to generate evidence supporting local HTA submissions.

Your Profile:

  • Experience: Over 10 years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device industry, consultancy, or government roles, with at least 5 years in Market Access and/or Government Affairs.
  • Experience with medical devices in distributor markets is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of access policy, pricing, health economics, and outcomes research.
  • Proven ability to network and manage programs effectively. Strong track record in converting scientific evidence into compelling messaging.
  • Undergraduate degree in Medical Science, Public Health, or Public Policy (master’s preferred).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Understanding of HTA authorities and national reimbursement systems in CEE, MEA, and Turkey.
