Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • You will be holding a highly visible and critical role within CSL Behring`s Commercial Operations organization. Within the market access & pricing department you will centrally lead and coordinate the strategical market access & pricing decisions and processes for our Hemophelia (including Gene therapy) and Hereditary Angioedema (a rare disease) therapeutic areas.
  • To be successful you will align the MA&P strategies with a highly cross-functional team consisting of commercial, medical, legal, regulatory and finance internal partners.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences, pharmacy or another healthcare discipline
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant industry work and/or agency experience and/or public institutions and/or pharmaceutical associations
  • Proven experience in market access, health economics, pricing and ideally in rare disease therapeutic areas
  • Solid knowledge of the German health care system and relevant AMNOG & pricing processes
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written, in German and English
  • Good interpersonal skills to build prior experience advocating with government officials is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • This agile Market Access role mainly consists of three capability and responsibility components: A generalist, assigned therapeutic area focus, a Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) with deep experience in one of the areas such as AMNOG process, pricing, HTA positioning, HEOR, payer policy, stakeholder engagement and negotiations
  • Collaborating closely within the Matrix organization of Business teams in Germany and international teams to develop, shape and execute market access, pricing and reimbursement strategies.
  • You will be an active member in selected brand teams and deliver market access input in strategic brand planning, e.g. strategic plan development. Collaborate with Medical, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Finance and other colleagues across CSL Behring to ensure the effective implementation of market access plans.
  • You will coordinate G-BA related procedures such as reference price procedures (§35 SGB V) and AMNOG-dossier strategy and process according to §35a SGB V for the existing portfolio in your assigned therapeutic area. This includes leading the cross-functional market dossier team to develop G-BA-submissions.
  • You will monitor the competitive environment in terms of market access strategies, pricing and contracting approaches, as well as innovative approaches including outcomes-based agreements. This might include analysing regional market access hurdles & opportunities, and develop respective action plans, including strategy development for decentralized rebate contracts acc. §130a & §130c SGB V and execute these accordingly in collaboration with other market access colleagues, political affairs, medical and sales teams.
  • Achieve awareness to improve customer access to recombinant and gene therapies.
