POSITION OVERVIEW:

We seek a dynamic and engaging Market Sales Associate to represent Beytoot at Farmers’ Market in Toronto. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, a flair for sales, and the ability to engage customers through sampling and product demonstrations. As the face of Beytoot in the market, you will play a crucial role in introducing our authentic Lebanese dips to new customers, fostering relationships, and driving sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passionate about food, with a particular interest in Lebanese cuisine.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
• Must have a driver’s license and a car.
• Must be able to store farmers’ market tent (summer only), table, cooler, and ice packs at home.
• Physically able to set up and dismantle market setups, stand for extended periods, and perform food prep tasks.
• Availability to work on weekends during market hours with potential shifts on some weekdays.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to various market locations is required.

• Pick up stock from Manning Canning Kitchens in East York at 7:00AM and return it after the market ends.
• Set up and break down the market stall at Farmers’ Market, ensuring a visually appealing presentation of our products.
• Engage with market-goers, sharing the story of Beytoot and the heritage behind our products.
• Prepare and offer samples to customers, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Conduct product demonstrations and tastings, highlighting the unique qualities of our dips, especially our signature Toum.
• Process sales transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
• Gather customer feedback and share insights with the Beytoot team to help enhance our offerings and market strategies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the market stall throughout the day.
• Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations.
