A Day in the Life
Make an impact in your community and the lives of others by bringing the smiles back on the faces of patients suffering from unidentified cardiac arrhythmias. Use your passion for market development, sales, and relationship building to engage the customers and provide excellent customer service to expand patient access and patient pathways to long-term cardiac monitoring with insertable cardiac monitors. Work closely together with the local country/regional teams to be successful in a dynamic and growing business unit.
The role of the Market Development Specialist is to increase the market penetration of Medtronic Insertable Cardiac Monitors in the Syncope & Cryptogenic Stroke patient populations. This role focuses on removing the barriers that Healthcare providers and patients currently face when trying to access this technology.

You will be responsible for:

  • Engaging and training new Implanters – from Cardiologist to Nurse/Physiologists.
  • Removing barriers to expanding Insertable Cardiac Monitors (ICM) in hospitals: Implant Out of the Cath Lab, Simplify LINQ Workflow (LINQ on CareLink, LINQ Mobile Manager, FocusOn).
  • Increasing funding for LINQ service growth.
  • Growing awareness for the need for Insertable Cardiac Monitors (ICM) with current & new customers.
  • Driving current awareness and education within Syncope and Stroke and develop regional awareness campaigns.
  • Expanding relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Targeting core cardiology and non-traditional customers such as Emergency departments and Neurology and/or Elderly Care.

Must Haves

  • BA or MBA (preferred) or Healthcare sector graduate
  • Professional experience in a commercial environment, preferably from MedTech
  • Work Experience from the healthcare industry
  • Ability to work independently and think out-of-the-box coupled with strong negotiation skills and a flexible and solution oriented approach
  • Sales affinity and persuasiveness, combined with excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel and a clean driver’s license
  • Live in South/ Southwest of Sweden

  • Experience from large, matrix corporations
