About the Role
As a Market Risk Business Analyst in our Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to collaborate with our various Market Risk stakeholders, technology teams and internal stakeholders to support the design and delivery of Market Risk infrastructure and process changes required to capture Suncorp Bank into ANZ’s Markets Risk models. This will involve understanding and documenting the business requirements, creating solutions, and validating delivery that is aligned with the strategic objectives.

This role is intended to also support the Suncorp Bank which is part of the ANZ Group.
Role Type: 12 Months Fixed Term
Role Location: Sydney (Melbourne or Brisbane considered)

What will your day look like?

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct appropriate discovery and analysis across all stakeholders to understand, document and communicate the Market Risk business requirements
  • Work with technology teams and internal stakeholders to document functional specifications, business processes and testing outcomes related to the project objectives
  • Implementation activities in conjunction with stakeholders to support the achievement of project or business outcomes such as testing, process mapping and change transition
  • Elicit, document and manage the program outcomes throughout the end-to-end project or program delivery
  • Partner with key stakeholders to resolve dependencies and align on deliverables
    What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Prior experience as an Analyst in Financial markets, collaborating with both Business and Technology teams
  • Experience with the Market Risk regulatory reporting framework
  • Knowledge of Market Risk Sensitivities, VaR, APS116 & APS117 calculation models and other Market Risk regulatory reporting framework
  • Understanding of multiple asset classes like FX & Money market, Interest Rate derivatives, Commodities and Credit
  • Experience in working with VBA scripts, Python and knowledge of MS SQL database is desired
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
  • Capable of leading workshops with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
