Description:
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- National Diploma in Forestry or BTech or relevant experience in the field
- Minimum of 5 years’ forestry experience
- Must be a strong team player
- Computer literate in Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid Passport
- Be prepared to work outdoors most of the day
- Fully Bilingual (fluent English and Afrikaans)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer Service Experience
- No criminal record

Responsibilities:
- Will report to the Area Manager for Mpumalanga
- Identify Market needs for Timber (Mining Timber, Pulpwood and Saw timber)
- Research, study and assess current market
- Analyse competitors’ products and market
- Create appropriate marketing strategies for timber
- Coordinate with internal marketing, sales and accounts receivable department
- Provide appropriate consultancy services to customers to enhance timber sales
- Find prospective customers/clients and new target segment
- Process customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring the clients approval
- Up-sell and cross-sell timber products or services to existing customers which will also include TWK operations and their relevant markets
- Contact prospective customers and provide them with information on the company and the timber products/services provided
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
- Will have to be able to visit and support farmers from the Highveld and maintain close relationships with them directly
- Assist with client queries and problems
- Manage Mkondo Timber Depot
- Assist with FSC , PEFC and COC systems and implementation with Suppliers and farmers
- Liaise with all markets to ensure orders and quality is acceptable
- Liaise with all Timber mills to ensure raw material production requirements are available
- Ensure monthly and quarterly forecasts for timber mills are provided
- Liaise with and arrange transport for timber products to markets
- Fire duty during fire season
- Be prepared to work after hours if and when necessary
- Prepare annual budgets
