Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Marketing Advisor through October 23rd at 11:59 p.m.
Short overview of the position:
- Key player in the development and implementation of effective crude oil strategies for Venezuela.
- Lends commercial crude Oil expertise throughout Venezuela across existing equity operations and Major Growth project activities and processes.
- Working with the marketing team, is involved in leading the development of overall heavy crude oil commercialization strategies to maximize long-term Enterprise value through optimization of markets and streamlining of logistics.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Supports operations by implementing sound marketing strategies, streamlining of logistics including co-loading, backhaul and time charter opportunities; engagement with senior leaders and key stakeholders at PDVSA Supply and Trading, Joint venture management and internally with Chevron Supply and Trading, Upstream commercial; Refining; Shipping and Value Chain Optimization teams to explore vertical integration opportunities and management/optimization of a time-chartered fleet.
- Supports supply of necessary diluent in support of blending of extra heavy production (EHCO) at Orinoco belt.
- Works with senior Upstream production and Upgrader technical management to ensure adequate infrastructure and projects to ensure crude/products integrity, loading/discharge efficiency and leads marketing contributions to identifying/timing of infrastructure projects (including tanks, pipelines, measurement units, pumps, loading arms and other key equipment at loading facilities.)
- Supports Global Heavy Oil Value Chain optimization team looking at opportunities for Chevron’s portfolio including Venezuela, SJV, Canada and Partition Zone assets.
Required Qualifications:
- Senior position requiring a seasoned technical professional with background on refinery, economics, crude/products trading, marine transportation and logistics.
- Seeking candidates with 15-20 years of experience with preference for chemical engineering, decision analysis, price forecasting and linear programming modeling.
- Fully bilingual in English/Spanish
