Reporting into the Business Development unit, the role involves implementing a programme of activities to raise our profile and generate high quality new business opportunities from targeted prospects. This role involves supporting the planning and execution of marketing strategies, conducting market research, and identifying new business opportunities. You will help drive sales growth, build and maintain client relationships, and contribute to the development of business strategies.
This is a supporting role created to enable us to achieve our growth ambitions so you will ideally already have proven business development background and a passion for selling agency communications solutions.
The role is well suited for a highly motivated, proactive and organised individual who is passionate about selling in solutions and achieving the best results. The successful candidate must have interpersonal and communications skills and share our values.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the Business Development unit to help create new business opportunities across the broader offer – stakeholder communications, sustainability, digital.
Source new leads and engage with prospects over the telephone and via e mail, qualifying potential opportunities. Manage day to day activities for lead generation campaigns – track new business contacts via the CRM database (Salesforce) and follow up in a timely manner.
Support the Business Development unit and client teams with the coordination of new business meetings and pitches, managing the process of RFPs etc.
Support specific events – writing event briefs, setting up webinars, registrations, post webinar follow up. Coordinate with marketing and PR on outbound activities to help generate new business at various events.

Keep abreast of industry trends and developments and competitor activity, which may be relevant to our business.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Assist in drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, and other documents.
  • Analyse sales data to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement growth strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Ideally, experience in new business development in the agency world and delivering new business opportunities.
  • Ideally, experience in implementing highly targeted new business campaigns
  • Highly entrepreneurial self-starter, who can use their own initiative to identify opportunities
  • Excellent written skills are essential.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
