MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity acknowledges, with deep respect and gratitude, our home on the side of Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Shuswap Nations, Ktunaxa Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta, Rockyview District 4. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Communications, below are some key responsibilities:
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 1 - 3 years of related Marketing and Communications experience is required
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
- Experience working with an arts institution, conferences, hospitality and/or post-secondary institution is considered an asset
- Proven writing and editing skills are required
- Proven computer skills with an extensive knowledge of MS Office, familiarity with Internet, and web-based communication
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to manage multiple projects with concern for accuracy
- A fundamental knowledge and understanding of marketing and communications and communications practices
- Exceptional customer service with a client focus to clearly understand needs of programs, services, and administrative areas
- High level of reliability and motivation
- Self-directed with the ability to work under broad direction without close supervision
- Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks
- A team player with excellent interpersonal communication
- Analytical skills that enable good problem solving
- Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule, and weekends
