Description:
The Arts Council of the North Okanagan (ACNO) seeks a creative and dynamic Marketing and Development Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director (ED), this role will be responsible for marketing and communications while assisting community development, member relations, event coordination, and administrative tasks.
This role offers the flexibility to work from home while maintaining regular communication. Candidate will be required to attend weekly in-person meetings with the ED at the Vernon Community Arts Centre. This position may require occasional evenings or weekend hours to support community events.
Compensation – $25.00/hour
Part-time, permanent, 20 hrs/week with additional hours to cover events.
Performance reviews conducted at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.
Employee will become eligible for benefits package after successfully completing the probation period of 30 days.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing and Communications, related field or equivalent experience.
- Event planning and administrative experience preferred (non-profit or arts sector).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, MailChimp, Doodle, Survey Monkey.
- Proficient in the use of social media platforms.
- Knowledge of grant applications is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Confident working with diverse community groups and supporting EDI initiatives.
