Description:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or more than one year of experience in a marketing role
- Strong copywriting skills
- Basic understanding of Lightroom CC, and Creative Cloud CC
- Basic understanding of WordPress and other marketing platforms (preferred)
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF POSITION
(FTYR Benefited position) The Marketing and Events Coordinator is an in-person position that will maintain social media platforms, maintain the outside perspective of Arizona Snowbowl, create clear and effective communication for guests through all mediums (social, website, interviews, newsletters), plan and execute events, maintain public relations, and improve the guests overall experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute campaigns and communications across all marketing channels, including newsletters, website, social media and paid advertising
- Work with the marketing team to execute overall marketing strategies
- Capture and generate video and photo content including IG Stories & TikTok, Short-form video (IG Reels), and shot list and basic b-roll editing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the website, social media, and other online channels
- Oversee public relations through representing the brand in a fun and respectful manner, handling interview requests, understanding crisis communication plan, and understanding local community and needs
- Establish engaging and persuasive copy on website throughout webpages, blogs, and event listings
- Ensure website updates are established in a timely manner
- Optimize web pages though using basic keywords and SEO
- Manage social account by responding to comments, providing guest service through comments and DMs, understanding social media metrics, and provide weather updates
- Plan and execute special events that include community benefiting, passholder, and family driven events
- Oversee the entire special event planning process from initial brainstorm to completion of the event
- Work with marketing manager to budget for special events
- Develop effective newsletter campaigns through identifying audiences, building the campaign and understanding analytics
- Work with marketing manager to strategize, coordinate and attend marketing events including ski shows and community events
- Understand campaign analytics and current social media, sales, and paid advertising trends
- Oversee community donation requests
