Description:

Cotswold Farm Park is a visitor attraction based in the heart of the Cotswolds. We welcome a range of visitors across the open season, and have broad range of products and a wide customer base requiring a targeted and joined up sales and marketing approach across the following areas:

  • The free to enter Ox Shed (our shop, bar and restaurant) which attracts lunch and shopping customers, group and coach visits, cycling groups, and services the campsite and the farm park customers.
  • The onsite holiday accommodation
  • Horse fun rides
  • The visitor attraction - Cotswold Farm Park – seasonal events, experiences and activities aimed at a range of audiences, including members, holiday makers, day trippers, local residents, coach tours and school groups

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Attention to detail
  • Creative design skills – experience of Adobe Creative Suite desirable, but not essential
  • Organisation skills
  • Communication skills – both verbal and written (strong copywriting and storytelling skills)
  • Energy and enthusiasm, with a keen interest in digital and social
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Have a good understanding of marketing processes
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a commercial, sales driven environment
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic, pro-active and problem-solving approach to the job.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, taking responsibility for a situation as it arises
  • Will be a good communicator/motivator and work well within a small team
  • Be willing to attend training sessions/courses as required

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • To support the Marketing Manager in fulfilling the requirements of the Marketing function, working to set objectives with KPIs in place
  • To support the business in the growth and implementation of key revenue streams (ticketing, campsite, parties, groups, memberships, events)
  • To provide reports and data for the Marketing Manager and other Manager where required – training will be provided
  • To act as a support to the wider business where needed e.g. briefing the admissions team on new promotions, acting as a liaison for technical issues and on occasion covering the phone or admissions tills during very busy periods

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experienced in design work – posters, website banners, adverts – using templates and working within brand guidelines.
  • Regular harvesting of subscriber information and updating lists
  • Data mining in our EPOS and Google Analytics to provide reports for the Marketing Manager and Farm Park Manager
  • Send and schedule emails to relevant mailing lists
  • Set up ticketing and promotions in the EPOS, ensuring that the retail, catering and admissions teams have been briefed and the correct booking processes are in place
  • Ensure that all promotional activity on site is implemented, including liaison with managers to ensure that promotions and offers are effectively communicated to customers
