Harper McDermott specialises in statutory debt solutions and is currently a provider of Protected Trust Deeds and Debt Payment Plans under the Debt Arrangement Scheme.

Due to the continuous growth experienced by the company over the last 9 years and expected future growth, we have a vacancy for a full time Marketing Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous digital marketing experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Required:

  • An extremely organised individual with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Photoshop/video editing skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A result-driven mindset with an analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Experience of using Google Ads, Facebook Ads and other paid platforms.
  • Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues across the company and external agencies.
  • A willingness to learn new systems, processes & procedures and keep up to date with marketing trends.
  • Building and sending internal email newsletters.
  • Providing support in the content management of the Trust Deed Scotland and Harper McDermott websites.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential with Google sheets exposure.
  • Familiar with using content management systems (WordPress/Squarespace).
  • Assist with analytical information using Google Analytics, Google Search Console.

Desirable:

  • Use tools such as SEMrush and other digital platforms to find relevant traffic and growth opportunities.
  • An interest in UX, CRO and growth marketing awareness
  • Supporting the team with SEO and digital PR related activities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Glasgow, G2 1RW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

  • Content Creation: 1 year (preferred)
  • Social Media Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
  • Marketing: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities:

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Supporting the marketing team and wider customer service and debt advice teams, the successful candidate will fill an integral support role by managing our day to day digital marketing tasks, as well as assisting with key administrative activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Updating and maintaining content across the Trust Deed Scotland and Harper McDermott websites, including creating blog and FAQ content, social media content, reporting & competitor research.

  • Assist with day-to-day marketing activities
  • Content creation
  • Reporting and compliance related tasks
  • Create and schedule social media content on various platforms
  • Arrange appointments for our customers using our CRM system
