Description:

Marketing Assistant Job Desription Be responsible for comprehensive communications and marketing for Rossendale Hospice, focusing on the Hospices Social Media sites, website and email marketing. The role involves promoting Hospice services, fundraising and income generating campaigns and events. The position requires collaboration across all Hospice teams to implement integrated communication. Key tasks / duties: MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing & Communications Contribute to a comprehensive PR planner Work with Hospice departments to distribute internal and external communications. Create engaging press releases and other written copy to promote Hospice news and income generation activities.
Produce documents, posters/notices and event signage to be used Hospice wide. Work alongside the other members of the Fundraising Team to develop a library of patient stories, liaising and communicating with the clinical teams and those who have experienced firsthand, Hospice services. Promote the Rossendale Hospice brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications. Create a variety of materials including leaflets, posters and banners to assist all departments of the Hospice and promote the Hospice brand within the community.
Maintain appropriate and consistent language and terminology across all platforms. Work across the Hospice to provide support with the design and production of all literature, marketing materials and press releases, ensuring that all these display the Hospice brand and key messages. Ensure that consent is captured for all participants and documents are stored in line with Hospice policy. OTHER To undertake any other relevant duties or projects delegated by the Fundraising Manager in line with the responsibilities of this role including attendance at Hospice events and activities.

Operate within the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Formerly Data Protection Act Participate in annual appraisal and monthly 1-1s with the Fundraising Manager Person/professional: To maintain professional conduct at all times and follow smart dress code To act at all times in accordance with the policies and procedures of Rossendale Hospice A commitment to following the Hospices values and behaviours. At all times act as an ambassador for Rossendale Hospice to patients, relatives carers, colleagues and members of the public Engage in lifelong learning and attend any training as suggested by Head of Income Generation Attend mandatory training annually/and or undertake e-learning as instructed Health and safety Understands the fire regulations and action to be taken in the event of a fire Report any incidents/adverse events in accordance with Rossendale Hospice policy Understand the principles of infection control and hand hygiene. Have an understanding of the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policy.
Take all measures to ensure that the safely of staff, patients, volunteers, supporters, customers and visitors to Rossendale Hospice in accordance with the Rossendale Hospice Health and Safety Policy. Manual handling and /or heavy lifting Key requirement of the role as detailed below Ensure compliance with Manual Handling and Health and Safety policies relating to your activities. Ensure that all equipment used by you in the course of your duties is used appropriately, and any faults or breakages are reported immediately. Full, current, valid UK driving licence Required Access to a vehicle which can be used for work purposes Required Vehicle insurance, including business cover Required Disclosure & Barring Service Check (formally known as Criminal Records Bureau) Standard check required for this role Additional Information
