We’re seeking a Marketing Behavioural Scientist to work with us on a 12-month contract in our marketing team to help drive our understanding of our customers and develop behavioural communications strategies. As a company we have an exciting new partnership with Nector, which will
hopefully help save money and earn rewards for our Smart Metering Customers.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’ll be looking for you to come in and drive our new water efficiency programme of activity, applying your knowledge and experience of behavioural science to develop a range of interventions and strategies that can be used to encourage and promote water saving behaviours for our customers. You’ll use your analytical skills to understand our customers and interpret data to determine segmentation and comms approaches, while creating behavioural strategies that deliver exciting ways to engage with our customers to change behaviour whilst delivering business benefit.
You will work alongside the marketing team to deliver ongoing activity, testing, learning and optimising.

Other accountabilities in the role include:-

  • Review customer research and recommend additional research required to help inform the strategies.
  • Work with our data analysts, to understand our customer data and current behaviours to inform interventions and marketing approach.
  • Develop interventions that drive behaviour change over a period of time, such as rewards, nudges or reminders to encourage positive actions.
  • Develop and implement a test and learn approach to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the interventions; checking on what is working and optimising and improving to achieve success.
  • Measure and prove ROI – set measurable goals for interventions and report and track on performance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight.
In addition to this we’ll be looking for you to have demonstratable experience across a variety of behavioural methodologies with extensive experience of creating, implementing and measuring behavioural strategies. Equally, it would be ideal for you to have an understanding/background in psychology, sociology and economics. Also it would be great if you had experience of B2C customer behaviour change in the marketing industry.
