Marketing & Business Development Manager
About Kosmode Health
Kosmode Health is a deeptech start-up dedicated to expanding access to health from nature by making quality health ingredients affordable to the masses. We achieve this by repurposing food processing wastes for human nutrition. Our mission is supported by three core services: food processing waste valorization, functional food formulation, and the supply of repurposed functional ingredients and ready-to-manufacture functional food premixes.
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Marketing & Business Development Manager to drive business expansion and establish brand leadership for our w0w(R) brand. This role is crucial in setting the standard for sustainable functional food derived from repurposed food processing wastes, inspiring food manufacturers to engage with KosmodeHealth’s services and products.
Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Strategy Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on financial gain and market expansion.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, and develop effective sales solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Arrange and lead business development meetings with prospective clients to promote KosmodeHealth’s products and services.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Contract Management: Prepare and review sales contracts ensuring adherence to legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales progress, maintain records of sales, revenue, and invoices, and provide feedback and after-sales support.

Marketing

  • Brand Leadership: Establish and enhance the brand leadership of the w0w(R) brand, setting the standard for sustainable functional food.
  • Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company’s products/services, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Client Inspiration: Inspire food manufacturers to engage KosmodeHealth’s valorization and functional food formulation services, and to incorporate our repurposed functional ingredients and premixes into their product lines.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role with a track record of sales growth.
  • Education: BSc/BA in business administration, sales, marketing, or a relevant field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainable and functional food products.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of market trends, particularly in sustainable food and nutrition sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership: Experience in managing sales or marketing teams.
  • Networking: Strong networking skills and the ability to establish a network of contacts to attract new clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt solutions for different client needs.
