About the job
As a Marketing & Business Development Manager, you will lead the market development of our new recycling technologies and act as a key liaison among R&D, Technology, Production, and Sales teams. You will also hold global marketing responsibility for our polymer modification market segment, developing and executing comprehensive strategies with the global segment team. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and business development skills to drive growth and innovation. Polymer Specialties produces metal alkyls, organic peroxides and polymer additives, which primarily are used as initiators and co-catalysts in the production and processing of polymers. The main applications are in polyolefin production, thermoset plastics and cross linking of plastic and rubber. The business line Polymer Specialties is headquartered in Deventer, with regional centers in North America and Asia and has over 250 employees worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement market strategies, product offerings, and value propositions with the global segment teams, including conducting market research, identifying growth opportunities, crafting compelling marketing campaigns, managing product launches, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Develop, negotiate and (where applicable) implement business deals to support the market segment strategies and drive EBITDA growth, including but not limited to, tolling, strategic raw material supply agreements and IP licensing.
- Collect and synthesize market pricing intelligence through customer research, market studies and modelling supported by public information about these companies.
- Develop partnerships in the different regions to bring R&PM portfolio to market.
- Develop application and product development partnerships with relevant industry players and universities.
- Be accountable for the long-term Volume, NS, CM, and EBITDA delivery as projected in the segment strategy, in alignment with regional Sales Directors.
- Drive optimal operational performance, customer satisfaction, and CM / EBITDA delivery for the Segment by coordination of all activities in the functional organization, through segment team, develop improvement plans and drive implementation.
Define priorities for product and application R&D together with market team.
We believe you bring
Master / PhD degree, preferably in Polymer technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar level through experience.
- In-depth knowledge of polymer production, processing and or recycling markets, competitive landscape and markets/applications, minimum 5–7-year experience in Sales & Marketing in the chemical industry.
