JOB SUMMARY

As the Marketing Cloud Specialist, you will be the development lead for Salesforce Marketing Cloud within the Customer Experience Team supporting the Marketing Manager to deliver Customer Relationship Management (CRM) candaigns to customers and prospects (for B2C and B2B) to drive customer engagement, improve conversion and retention, and support up-selling priorities.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Marketing Cloud (Exact Target)
  • Proficient in email development languages - HTML, SQL, Amp script and CSS
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud, with the ability to build using Email Studio, Journey Builder, Interaction Studio (Marketing Cloud Personalisation), Mobile Studio and other tools of complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Sales Cloud/Service Cloud experience desirable
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to take ownership and work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised – ability to multitask, work effectively under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions

Responsibilities:

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will be to:

  • Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design and develop dynamic emails and complex multi-channel journeys.
  • Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create new email templates following company guidelines and best practice email techniques to improve engagement and click through rates.
  • Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create journeys using Journey Builder and sync data from Salesforce CRM to Marketing Cloud and back.
  • Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create SMS candaigns and app push notifications.
  • Analyse candaigns and propose candaign optimisations and future recommendations, providing detailed analysis and visual information as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations and suggestions, supported by relevant information to CRM Manager
  • Complete quality assurance checks on changes to audiences, emails and journeys in Marketing Cloud.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce CRM Product Owners (Service/Sales) when new fields are identified that can be used within marketing candaigns OR with third parties if any other external system is needed to integrate with Marketing Cloud.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • Work with third party agency and internal teams where required to establish enhanced processes and functionality.
  • Work with other teams for exandle, the Global Technology Team and Testing team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, configuration, and change management activities.
  • Provide support and act as a point of escalation for colleagues using Marketing Cloud.
  • Assist training of new users and growing both awareness of Salesforce as well as skills across the organisation.
  • Work independently with members of the user/analysis community to define, input and document requirements as well as process mapping documents.

SCALE OF THE ROLE

Responsible for the development of all emails and multi-channel journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud for the UK Business, which will be sent to 1m customers each year.
