Description:
BASIC FUNCTION/JOB SUMMARY
To assist in the administration support to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Sales & Marketing department and responsible for generating business from corporate accounts and/or travel agents in order to achieve overall sales targets and meet objectives set out in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales to plan and prepare the Annual Marketing communication budget and plan in support of both the rooms and food & beverage marketing goals.
- To maintain adequate and up-to-date media and mailing lists and distribution system for news releases.
- Prepare press clippings file to include both good and adverse publicity on the hotel, advertising clippings on rooms and food & beverage, general industry news and clippings of competitors.
- To compile monthly analysis of questionnaires and letters for circulation.
- Maintains and update database of clients with an accurate and up to date mailing list for timely use.
- Ensure that the hotel press & sales kits are up-to –date and sufficient at all times.
- Oversee the writing of news stories, photo captions and magazine features on hotel information or activities for release to media.
- Read local and trade on a daily basis to keep up on industry happenings and review public relations and advertising coverage of hotel competitors.
- Coordinate all photography for publicity use and maintain publicity and photography materials with correct captions.
- Develop and maintain good contacts with local editors, columnists, radio & TV personalities to maximize exposure for the hotel.
- Assist Sales to develop, coordinate and implement the OTAs’ Promotion, Rates Parity and Hotel’s advertising programmes.
- Handling of all messages in an accurate and clear way and ensure that they are communicated to the persons concerned.
- Attend weekly sales meetings and report on marketing activities in the market as well as competitors’ promotional activities.
- Manage all web content, web listings and social media posting example Facebook, Istagram, Tripadvisor
- Compilation of all feedback forms – online and offline.
- Total event management – scope includes planning and management of event budget, planning and execution of even program, liasing with internal team and external vendors, obtaining sponsorships, ticket sales, publicity example organize Bird Singing competition and Corporate.
- Ensure collaterals are rolled out on time by staying on top of the marketing calendar, production schedule, oversee the design and delivery of marketing initiatives, promotions, campaigns and events.
- Ensure that the business is up to date on marketing platforms and trends
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by Management on ad-hoc basis.
