Description:

Salary: From £45,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience + fantastic benefits
Jisc grade: PRS3 (internal use only)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office, we have hubs in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford. Specific patterns for working in the office are not mandated, and the frequency of time worked in the office is agreed with your manager. Meeting in person is something we value so you may need to travel on occasion to any of our hub offices.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You will be experienced in B2B lead and generation and experience in B2C audience engagement strategies
  • As the Marketing Communications Manager you will have experience of representing an organisation in an external environment(conferences/events)
  • The manager will empower the team and make them resilient and effective with excellent communication and presenting skills
  • Current experience with social media and events would be advantageous
  • We hope to attract a strategically minded person who may have experience of our industry

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
If you have a marketing qualification or are a member of a marketing body this would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Marketing Communications Manager, you will lead the team to manage the marketing and communications activity at Jisc for the Prospects, Hedd and Luminate brands.
You will be responsible for all communications, including email, events, publications/reports, advertising and social media, which makes up the hugely varied and exciting work carried out by the team.
You and your team will build relationships with students through engaging content, career planning tools and personalised communications to assist them at key decision-making milestones along their career journey, from pre-university to graduation and beyond.
You will deal with commercial organisations and education providers in our recruitment advertising markets who want to get in front of our large and diverse student audience. You and your team will communicate Jisc’s labour market insights and student insights to ensure they engage with, recruit and verify the right candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will produce and own the marketing communications strategy
  • To develop effective and innovative customer acquisition strategies, both B2B and B2C and to meet business KPIs and deliver income targets
  • It will be your responsibility for increasing customer (B2B and B2C) engagement through creation and delivery of exciting and effective marketing plans and advertising campaigns.
  • To increase the awareness of our B2B and B2C through developing strategic relationships with external networks.
  • In this role you will be the face and voice of Prospects, marketing at conferences, exhibitions and events.
