Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is seeking a passionate Marketing Communications Manager to join our talented team at our Cairns waterfront hotel.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of B2B and B2C business units, including accommodation, Events/Conferences, Food & Beverage and Corporate, to develop and execute cutting-edge marketing campaigns that drive consumer conversion and assist Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns to achieve business goals.
Being part of a regional marketing team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing marketing strategies across multiple platforms and channels for both domestic and international markets, business and leisure. You will have the freedom to explore and present innovative ideas that align with the Shangri-La brand standards, while also supporting the hotel’s overarching objectives.
As an inspired manager, you will work closely with the leadership team, Marketing Coordinator and regional marketing team to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing and communications initiatives and with your creative and strategic mindset, consistently enhance marketing communications efforts.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team on property and at regional office to drive the hotel’s performance and create outstanding results across all marketing channels to maximise revenue opportunities and conversion.
- Create, craft and execute a hotel marketing strategy that reflect Shangri-La’s strategic plan, business planning, and overarching global brand.
- Elevate the performance of digital campaigns, drive conversion, and achieve hotel business goals by providing valuable contributions to owned/earned, organic/paid targeted efforts.
- Creating and execute highly effective PR strategies for each business unit, delivering exceptional results quarterly to drive business growth and elevate profile.
- Create compelling content across multiple channels, drive traffic and engagement, anticipate market trends, and boost business performance.
- Management and production of shoots for successful campaigns, from photography and videography, encompassing professional and in-house content.
- Responsible for the creation of compelling and meaningful messaging and copy across marketing channels to contribute to a strong overall performance.
- Idea generation and identify partnerships to drive results and boost brand awareness for the hotel.
