Job Description
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Marketing & Communications Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing projects, ensuring they align with our organizational goals and meet quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organization skills, a tactical mindset, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing and have a proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion. The ability to oversee multiple projects at one time is critical to this position.

Qualifications

  • Project Planning: Works with YMCA leadership and marketing agency to develop comprehensive project plans, objectives, timelines, and resources needed for specific projects.
  • Project Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of delivering marketing materials from initial concept to final execution, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
  • Team Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for YMCA staff, gathering requirements, providing updates, and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with internal teams to gather project-critical content and information in a timely manner and work with marketing agency to produce these deliverables while meeting specific timelines for deliverables.
  • Collaboration with Agency: Work closely with marketing agency to communicate project goals, provide all necessary content resources, and facilitate feedback.
  • Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and align with strategic objectives.
  • Quality Control: Review materials to ensure they meet branding guidelines and project specifications before final approval.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including briefs, timelines, feedback, and final deliverables.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project performance and gather feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and enhance future project processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Three-plus years of experience in project management, preferably in a marketing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible in working with a diverse and expansive group of internal staff and projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
