Walter Surface Technologies is rapidly growing and is seeking Marketing Communications Specialist to develop and execute strategic marketing communication initiatives that enhance the company’s brand image, engage our target audience, and drive business growth. This role requires a creative thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for marketing.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Communications Specialist will support the brand team by enhancing our communications strategy. Our success is driven by the skills and ideas of our talented and diverse team members. This position is responsible for assisting the Senior Brand Manager in leading of all aspects of our branded communications including external (content development for publications & end-users, press releases, distributor communications, etc.) & internal communications (marketing support to sales team, internal success stories, share the brand with new employees coming from acquisitions). You will be working in partnership with the R&D Product Managers, Channel Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Corporate development, and Human Resource teams.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communicator with excellent copywriting skills, in English and French.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Knowledge of HUBSPOT, CANVA an asset).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as required (minimal).

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • University degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent academic background and two (2) years relevant experience
  • Experience working in a B2B industrial company & knowledge of B2B content marketing strategy would be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling and engaging content for various channels, including website, email campaigns, press releases and marketing collateral, aligning with brand guidelines.
  • Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, industry partners, and key stakeholders to secure and develop positive coverage (press releases, magazine articles, blog posts, interviews, etc.) and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and execute onboarding content for new employees, manage marketing content & distribution with field sales team, develop and distribute newsletters/success stories
  • Support Product Launches: Coordinate and support the planning and execution of product launches to ensure a consistent brand presence with literature/collateral/press release production.
  • WALTER catalog content: Lead the production of the WALTER catalog; collaborate with product managers, graphic designers and printers to ensure accurate and engaging content.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, monitor competitors providing actionable insights for continuous content improvement.
