MARKETING CONTENT SPECIALIST

Role Definition and Responsibilities
Title: Marketing Content Specialist
Manager: Director of Marketing
Role Summary:
As the Ascent Cloud Marketing Content Specialist, you will join a high-performing, lean, growth-oriented marketing team where you will focus on generating content across multiple channels that impact our SEO, SEM, and offline marketing pieces. You will also report on major content KPIs with traffic decay and close-to-impact articles using GA4, Ahrefs, and other tracking tools. You will be hands-on and able to optimize existing content, along with providing direction to the larger marketing calendar, while targeting roles in the Ascent Cloud Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Supporting digital marketing efforts will also be key by understanding Google Ads, the Salesforce AppExchange ecosystem, and Wordpress. This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities (80% of Time):

  • Develop and implement the content strategy for all Ascent Cloud solutions, including but not limited to blogs, eBooks, emails, print media, webinars, and presentations.
  • Review, proofread, edit, and improve the content across the company for consistency and impact (e.g. email, web, social, print, and sales support).
  • Measure the results of content marketing activity to inform future campaigns.
  • Implement SEO best practices, track results, and manage the overall keyword strategy.
  • Design and implement creative marketing strategies to disseminate content.
  • Generate ideas to increase customer engagement throughout the buyer’s journey.
  • Work with your Manager to oversee and maintain the marketing content calendar.

Additional Responsibilities (20% of Time):

  • Be available as a resource for the Director of Marketing and team members who need assistance with completing large projects.
  • Update reporting and inventory content spreadsheets to align to the buyer’s journey.
  • Help support marketing events such as conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
