We are looking for a driven
Marketing Coordinator
to plan and execute marketing, recruitment and communication activities for the School of Business’ study programmes. This position is a fixed-term job rotation substitute, with a duration until early October 2025. We hope you could start in the position as soon as possible.
As our marketing coordinator, you will play a key role in sharing the story of Aalto University School of Business in Finland and abroad. You will be responsible for planning and implementing marketing activities for our Bachelor’s Programme in International Business in Mikkeli (50% of the work). What’s more, you will participate in the planning and implementation of marketing activities for our BSc and MSc programmes on the Otaniemi campus (the other half of the tasks).
As part of the role, together with your colleagues, you will build and manage digital marketing campaigns, drive traffic, and create content for both international and Finnish audiences, ensuring awareness and interest in our outstanding programmes. You will also coordinate a team of our School’s students who visit Finnish high schools and provide insights about our school and share their experiences as students.
You will creatively utilize different media and channels, be bold in trying new approaches while being on top of cutting-edge developments in digital marketing. As a versatile marketer, you enjoy preparing interesting high-quality content to all channels. Additionally, you will coordinate our participation as well as participate yourself in selected student marketing fairs and events in Finland and abroad.
The role is well suited to a fresh (or soon to be) marketing graduate or a similar profile. The ideal candidate already has some experience in the field of marketing but – most importantly – is a passionate and motivated team player who wants to learn more. The coordinator has a dynamic and curious mindset and a positive and open-minded approach to work.
Your skills would ideally include:
- Hands-on knowledge of planning, executing and analysing search engine marketing (Google Ads) and social media marketing (FB Business Manager), as well as other digital marketing channels and tools
- Understanding omni-channel content production, from creating landing pages, webinars and social media posts to building awareness and interest towards the School of Business and its study programmes
- Copywriting skills and ability to create engaging content for different content types and channels, such as news stories, web pages, social media, and printed materials
- Experience in organizing online and offline events as well as arranging participation in trade fairs
- Organisational skills, including project planning and ability to take care of multiple projects at the same time and work in a matrix type of teams
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
What we offer:
- A meaningful and inspiring environment. We are proud of our purpose to shape a sustainable future. We are driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world, by sparking the game-changers of tomorrow and solving major challenges with research-based knowledge, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- A culture that inspires and includes everyone. All our work is guided by the values of the university: responsibility, courage, and collaboration. It’s the people that create Aalto, now and in the future. We want to be an open community where equality and inclusion enable curiosity, innovation, creativity, collaboration and wellbeing.
- Support, coaching and sparring when you feel you need it.
- Great possibilities for competence development and learning. We continuously strive to find the most impactful ways to empower and invest in our people.
There is great freedom in your role, and we have a flexible modern working culture. You get great colleagues and a thriving community. The position is located in Otaniemi, Espoo. However, regular presence on the Mikkeli campus is required. Moreover, willingness and ability to travel are needed. The salary range for this position is approximately 3200 – 3400€/month. We value work-life balance and well-being in all aspects of life.
We work in a hybrid way, and the primary workplace is Otaniemi, Espoo. The Otaniemi campus is a thriving and connected community of 100 nationalities, over 14,000 students and over 4,500 employees. Life at the Otaniemi campus is vibrant and filled with amazing architecture, calming nature, and a variety of cafes, restaurants, services and good connections along the metro line. The Bachelor’s Programme in International Business at the Mikkeli Campus is known for its visiting faculty from around the world and tight-knit student community comprising approximately 250 students from Finland and abroad. The “Mikkeli Spirit” is a strong part of the programme brand.
