Description:

We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator at the Distillery Restaurants Corp. The Distillery Restaurants Corp. creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza, Jardin and Distillery Events are looking for experienced applicants with outstanding digital media knowledge, solid business acumen, and a drive to deliver results and bring people together. Our venues are located in the Distillery Historic District, one of Toronto’s most exciting art and shopping destinations and home to some of the top-ranked restaurants of Toronto.
Please note: you must already have legal permission to work in Canada to be considered for this role.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE WITH THE DRC:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Use brand guidelines and assets to create graphics for digital use and signage
  • Communicate effectively between DRC and third-party vendors
  • Organize and supervise photoshoots in-house with general managers, chefs and external photographers
  • Execute last-minute photoshoots and/or creatives depending on need/urgency
  • Execute content creation for on-site activations including both restaurant- and site-events
  • Maintain consistent communication between external social media consulting team and The Distillery Restaurants Corp.
  • Maintain and update six restaurant websites - including pop-ups, photos, menu items, etc.
  • Work alongside Graphic Designer to create assets for large events and campaigns such as Gift Card Campaign and The Distillery Winter Village
  • Conduct weekly meetings with social team and Executive Leadership Team, providing up-to-date information on Marketing progress
  • Stay up-to-date on and submit all Marketing invoices and payments to Controller
  • Order restaurant material on a consistent basis - including coasters, wax paper, stickers, etc.
  • Coordinate influencer collaborations with restaurant managers, chefs and influencers
  • Maintain and contribute to a culture founded in dignity, mutual respect and passion that revolves around hospitality and the delivery of genuine service and expertly crafted food and beverage.
  • Build and nurture professional relationships with guests, DRC employees, leadership, suppliers/vendors, industry peers and partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HOW YOU’D MARKET YOURSELF:

EXPERIENCE. You’ve got a bit of experience in Marketing. We’re looking for a candidate with at least one (1) year of experience within the hospitality industry, in a media or marketing role. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of business operations are considered an asset.
TECHNICALLY SAVVY. You MUST be proficient in Canva, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. If it isn’t highlighted on your resume, we won’t be contacting you – it’s that important.
PASSION. You love marketing and look constantly for ways to continue learning and growing.
ADAPTABILITY. You enjoy the challenge of working in fast-paced, changing environments.
SOLUTION-ORIENTED. You’re a strong problem solver with an insatiable desire to positively impact the experience of our guests and restaurant reviews.
EDUCATION. A marketing, digital media, business, hospitality or food and beverage management degree/diploma, or the equivalent in education and experience, is considered an asset.
