POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Operations Data Analyst Manager will lead a team of data analysts and marketing operations professionals to drive data-informed marketing strategies across the organization. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the marketing data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and scalability while delivering actionable insights that enhance marketing performance. The manager will oversee the development of reporting and analytics solutions to track key metrics, guide data-driven decision-making, and support business growth. As a key collaborator, the Marketing Operations Data Analyst Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to align KPIs, optimize campaign performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze marketing data from various sources (CRM, automation tools, web analytics) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization, while guiding the team to do the same.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key marketing metrics, such as campaign performance, lead conversion, and customer acquisition costs.
- Manage the marketing data infrastructure, ensuring robust data collection processes, integration, and storage across the team.
- Work with the team to develop data-driven strategies for optimizing marketing campaigns, including A/B testing, predictive modeling, and performance tracking.
- Guide the evaluation and implementation of analytics tools to enhance reporting and data management capabilities for the team.
- Oversee the tracking of marketing initiatives, using best practices for UTM parameters, tagging, and data management protocols.
- Ensure team compliance with data governance efforts and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Collaborate with sales, product, and other departments to align on KPIs, understand data needs, and translate insights into strategic actions.
- Facilitate professional development for team members, providing guidance on career growth, data analysis best practices, and new tool adoption.
What you will bring to the team:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, data analysis, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft365, HubSpot), and marketing automation systems
- Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, with the ability to coach team members in these tools.
- Strong understanding of marketing funnel metrics, campaign tracking, and lead generation processes.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
- Experience in managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance best practices and knowledge of data privacy regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement.
