Description:

The Global Marketing Director for Westland Distillery will act as the global brand steward and lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans to drive awareness, consideration, and sales for Westland Distillery’s portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the global brand strategy, brand positioning, architecture, visual identity, and all aspects of marketing communications as Westland enters a phase of high commercial growth. This individual will work collaboratively with agency partners, regional commercial teams (including RCUSA), and cross-functional partners to deliver on ambitious business objectives and establish Westland as a leading player in the global premium whiskey market. The focus of the marketing execution will be split between D2C, US Sales Channels, and International markets and will be driven on building successful annual marketing plans to drive commercial execution.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, communications, distillery operations, and finance, ensuring seamless execution of marketing plans.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally within Westland and Rémy Cointreau and externally with distributors, agencies, and industry partners.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices within the global whiskey category and marketing landscape, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and elevate the brand.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in consumer goods with a proven track record of success in brand management, strategic planning, and execution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the US and global whiskey market and consumer trends, with a strong passion for craft spirits and the Westland Distillery brand.
  • Experience in developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, public relations, events, and experiential activations.
  • Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong E-commerce and digital marketing experience
  • Experience in the US alcohol industry and navigating the US three-tier system
  • Proven track record with driving awareness and affinity through brand partnerships
  • Passion for cocktail culture and understanding of on-premise trends.
