What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Marketing Events Coordinator Intern within our PayByPhone line of business based in Vancouver, Canada. In this role, you will harness your organizational skills, logistics/events know-how, and “can do” attitude to all aspects of the job. You will also represent and support the North American Marketing Specialist in the planning, execution, and post-event reporting for all corporate events, and by connecting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The candidate must reside in or nearby our head office in Vancouver, BC as some work on-site will be required. Additionally, this position will require travel within North America to set-up, attend/support, and tear-down trade show events, and as such this position will involve some mandatory evening and weekend work.
Our ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and organizational skills along with outstanding time management. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to manage and prioritize competing tasks. You also aren’t afraid to jump right in to deal with problems directly.
How We Work

As a Marketing Events Coordinator Intern, you will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to out Vancouver office location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Company-issued equipment
  • Hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Stay Curious:
  • Helping create an engaging presence at trade shows that stands out from our competition and drives our business forward by generating leads
  • Assisting with sponsorship deliverables (as needed), and booth display planning to create an impact at shows with “outside the box” thinking (just because something hasn’t been done before, that doesn’t mean it can’t be implemented, be creative!)
  • Make Things Happen:
  • Owning the shipment of required company assets to and from events (trade show display, swag, print assets, etc.)
  • Owning the set-up and tear-down of event displays on-site at trade show events
  • Managing relationships and work with third party vendors such as printers, promotional suppliers, and shipping providers
  • Coordinating event and attendee registrations
  • Coordinating ordering of relevant booth items for events from show organizations (flooring, electrical, furniture, print assets, swag, etc.)
  • Work Together:
  • Supporting on-site PayByPhone team members at trade show events
  • Facilitating due dates and requirements for event sponsorship deliverables as needed
  • Assisting with speaker presentation and award submissions to relevant trade show events
  • Assisting with post-show review and re-cap
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to execute on projects related to trade show events
  • Assisting with other Marketing team functions as needed (campaigns, new launches, etc.)
  • Have Fun!:
  • It’s not all work at PayByPhone, we also take time to have fun! Despite being remote first we encourage employees who live near our Vancouver office to attend social events, as well as departmental summits
  • Community and Social Engagement
  • See Through Our Customers’ Eyes:
  • Owning the overall management and planning of our social media events announcements, speaker presentations, post show wrap-up, etc.
  • Assisting with email marketing related to trade show attendance, relevant events (client appreciation happy hours, speaker presentations, etc.)
  • Working with our design team to develop high impact social content that is relevant to our various B2A trade show events

Qualifications & Skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Desire to gain event marketing experience
  • Resides in Vancouver or nearby for on-site work in our downtown Vancouver office
  • Ability to travel within North America to attend/support PayByPhone’s presence at trade shows:
  • June 8-13 IPMI in Columbus, Ohio
  • September 15-20 NPA in Las Vegas, Nevada
  • October 5-10 CPA in Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • Some evening and weekend work to support trade shows
  • Nice to have: event marketing experience, parking industry knowledge or experience

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $22.00 -$25.00 CAD hourly. We consider several factors when determining a proposed hourly rate, including but not limited to: experience, education, location, budget, and internal equity. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes fairness and consistency, and job offers will be evaluated case-by-case.
