Job Description:
Create and manage marketing and social media activities. Plan and execute events, projects, and initiatives that will expand and strengthen alumni and community engagement.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or training in event management.
  • Ability to work and communicate concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing, with a broad range of internal and external constituents including faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents, and friends.
  • Understanding and/or experience in managing social media channels.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Innovative and proactive work approach.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team in achieving goals.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Platform, and Adobe Product

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize events from start to finish. Manage the event process, from the initial planning stages to execution and post-event communication and analysis.
  • Plan, develop, and execute marketing and advertising strategies for events, projects, and initiatives that will increase alumni and community engagement.
  • Build and execute a social media strategy through research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification that will advance alumni engagement and brand. Manage, track and analyze metrics to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness.
  • Assist with alumni demographic updates in the approved database and in the pulling of lists for events.
  • Support the SUU national Alumni Council and its Initiatives.
  • Aid with general office communication that will build and strengthen loyalty and partnerships
  • Others duties as assigned
