Description:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working within a similar role.
  • Evidence of having built a digital marketing plan and executed it with tangible, positive, results for a business.
  • Ability to manage own time, projects, and workload accurately.
  • Experience with Google analytics (including GA4 transition) and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience in managing Google and Social media advertising, either internally or via external suppliers.
  • Experience in social media content creation, copy writing and email marketing.
  • Experience in Search Engine Optimisation
  • Have examples of customer experience improvements they have tested and implemented successfully but also the confidence to talk about tests that failed, and the learning generated.
  • Ability to explain digital marketing in simple terms and to share knowledge with others
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work with a high level of accurac
  • Experienced in the use of Marketing CRM software (HubSpot).
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write well-articulated documents
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, and with management and agencies

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Lifestyle Financial Planning services by developing and implementing the marketing plan that aligns with our overarching business objectives. This role will focus on the digital marketing aspect of the business and will involve leading performance tracking through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, managing external consultants to
optimize paid channels, and executing strategies to improve organic visibility through SEO.
The role requires a proactive approach to content creation, data capture, and lead generation, while also upskilling the broader marketing team in digital marketing best practices. Curiosity and agility are essential, as you’ll stay ahead of digital marketing trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Regular monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, ensuring a strong return on investment, and supporting key events or sponsorship activations will be central to your success in this dynamic and impactful position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop a digital marketing plan to support delivery of the business and brand objectives that is aligned to the overall strategic marketing plan.
  • Lead on Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to report on performance and deliver insight to improve the customer experience and generate more sales.
  • Manage a team of external consultants or agencies to maximise performance of paid digital marketing channels such as Google search and social media and to manage the budget for these areas
  • Develop and execute a Search Engine Optimisation plan to improve the visibility of our brands and organic traffic to our website.
  • Maximise our conversion rates by making recommendations to improve the customer journey such as landing page improvements, content development, marketing automations through HubSpot and implementing an A/B testing plan.
  • Experience in running email campaigns via HubSpot to nurture leads through to enquiry over time using test and learn methods to optimise opportunity to convert.
  • Develop a comprehensive Social media and Email Marketing calendar with the objective of driving both digital engagement and new business leads.
  • Aid in the creation of content such as graphics, blog pieces, news articles and whitepapers.
  • Encourage the adoption of the client portal and new proposition through digital marketing such as video demonstration and testimonials.
  • Take ownership of sourcing, capturing, and using potential customer data for marketing purposes to generate leads and sales.
  • Upskill the marketing department in digital marketing and raise the profile of this discipline with the wider business in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Remain curious about new digital channels and changes to existing channels and be prepared to be agile to adapt to changes for the benefit of the business.
  • Monitor and report on all targets, ensuring effective ROI and recommending actions for optimisation.
  • Build a quarterly digital marketing plan that will meet the business objectives, including social media and accompanying email content.
  • Report weekly and monthly on performance against KPI’s for Website, PPC, SEO, and Social media in a clear, visual, dashboard with recommended actions.
  • Deliver digital marketing campaigns on time, on brand and on budget.
  • Increased profile and understanding of digital marketing within the business.
  • A workplan of website audits and improvements with regular updates for the business.
