Description:
CLOSING DATE
18/08/2024
As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a Marketing Events Executive to join our Marketing Events team on a permanent basis.
You will be part of the Activation team focusing on all partner-led activations, delivering the operational processes, toolkits and administrative tasks required to make the events and activations happen, working primarily on partnership events, and occasionally on HC-led events. If you like “muddy fields”, thrive in an ever-changing event environment, and love chocolate - this role is for you!
As well as a competitive salary and a range of company benefits, you’ll receive 50% discount on all products, and a 70% discount for you and your guests when you stay at our Rabot Estate hideaway on the paradise island of Saint Lucia.
Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be out and about supporting and leading on events nationally up to three days a week during key activations. This will be in our Choc-mobile (think ice cream van size!) with the support of events assistants to spread happiness through chocolate far and wide!
This role can sometimes include long shifts at events which could start at 8.30am and last until 10pm – even during the rush of events and a customer facing fast paced environment; you can passionately drive sales and effective brand awareness.
For the remaining two days a week, you will be on-site, either at our Support Office, ‘Mint House’, in Royston, Hertfordshire or our marketing office in Whitechapel, London.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the central HC event calendar, updating changes to events partners, dates, and customer events as needed.
- Leading on external events locations, overseeing the promotional staffing team and any associated logistics as acting brand ambassador.
- Driving the infamous Chocmobile, to and from locations across the UK, and setting up safely on site.
- Developing toolkits and collateral for partnership events to ensure a templated approach that allows us to execute quickly and cost effectively.
- Working closely with Senior Brand Activation Manager to deliver the activation for when we’re in partner spaces, or events, e.g. regional or national events, third party spaces where we’re partnering with other brands, or sponsorship models where we’ve either paid for placement or negotiated a contra-deal based on value added experiences and services.
- Developing and executing ideas for activations once a partnership is agreed to bring the HC brand to life and maximise the partnership.
- Ensuring activations are run with the right health and safety governance for both HC and the brand/event we are partnering with.
- Managing staffing rotas for activations, ensuring full cover where agreed, and provision is in place for sickness and holidays.
- Managing budgets for an activation ensuring all costs are allowed for and the correct POs or stock are in place.
- Delivering a ‘wrap’ report for each event and ensure a detailed review takes place with the partner capturing learnings and successes.
- Sharing event plans with the wider team to maintain awareness of opportunities to integrate event content into marketing plans.
