MARKETING EXECUTIVE - SPONSORSHIPS & EVENTS

Join a dynamic marketing team in Beacon Hospital, Sandyford, South Dublin. It is one of Europe’s most innovative and technologically advanced private hospitals with over 1,800 staff working together as a team to deliver exceptional patient care.
We are currently looking for a Marketing Executive (Sponsorships & Events) to play a big part in working with the organisations we sponsor and helping to create and run exciting internal and external events. The candidate will also help us to creatively communicate to patients, GPs, staff and the general public about all the new and innovative services we have to offer.
The Marketing Executive (Sponsorships & Events) will work closely within the Marketing Team and will be involved in all aspects of the hospital’s marketing activity. Their main focus will be events and sponsorships. This includes managing the hospitals sponsorship of Kilmacud Crokes. The successful candidate will also assist and gain experience in consumer advertising, leaflet design and production, staff communications, hospital newsletters, general administration and more.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in event management and be a GAA enthusiast (Kilmacud Crokes in particular is a bonus!), have a confident outgoing personality, be highly organised, have strong writing skills and able to take charge of an event, coordinate people, and be comfortable with public speaking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Sponsorship Management - responsible for liaising with the various clubs and organisations sponsored by the hospital (sporting, charity etc). This will include being the main point of contact liaising with Kilmacud Crokes on the hospital’s main sponsorship of the Club.
  • Events Management/Coordination - responsible for coordination of our sporting sponsorships, regular GP conferences, Nurses Day, Grand Rounds, Christmas Festivities, charity balls and lots of exciting staff events.
  • Marketing Material - responsible for all support material for events and sponsorships including ordering of promotional/branded material and literature eg. branded water bottles, t-shirts, pens, brochures, signage, flags, posters and flyers.
  • Marketing Communications - responsible for the communication and promotion of all sponsorships and events through advertising, e-marketing, social media and newsletters.
  • Marketing Support - working closely within a team to support all marketing activities such as staff comms, consumer advertising campaigns, design and print of literature, market research, signage, budget mgmt. and general admin duties.
  • Creativity - bringing new and creative ideas to a team that is always open to trying new and exciting marketing methods!

SKILL SET

  • Degree in marketing or related qualification
  • Confident and outgoing personality with strong people skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential!
  • Proficient in excel, word and PowerPoint
  • Interested in Sports / GAA enthusiast
  • Event management experience
  • Ability to think on your feet, adapt and use initiative to quickly overcome obstacles
  • Confident public speaker
  • Creative and a real passion for marketing
  • Strong writing skills and social media experience
  • Confident, self-starter with the ability to engage with people on all levels
  • Ability to think outside of the box and come up with new and creative marketing ideas
  • A full Drivers licence is a requirement and own transport would be beneficial
  • Good at photography and videography is a bonus
