ABOUT THE JOB MARKETING FACULTY
City University Ajman is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join as a Marketing Faculty member in the College of Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering student learning, and contributing to the academic and research endeavors of the university. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant academic environment and contribute to the development of future professionals in the field of marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A PhD in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and program assessment at the university level.
Strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and innovation in teaching and learning.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with technological and pedagogical advances promoting student learning.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and evaluate student performance for all assigned classes, adhering to the standard course outline.
Develop course curriculum, handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations, ensuring alignment with program objectives and industry standards.
Participate in program-level learning assessment, including articulating learning outcomes, choosing and administering measures, and suggesting changes to improve student learning.
Propose and implement policies to enhance academic development and research within the College and the University.
Collaborate with faculty and administrators to develop program curriculum, standards, and policies, including participating in the textbook selection process.
Schedule, supervise, examine, and evaluate students in internships, observations, field experiences, and similar settings as appropriate for the course or program.
Work with the Dean to create or enhance Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) mapped with Quality Framework for Education (QFE), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and participate in the Program Assessment committee.
Assign grades, maintain course and student records in accordance with university standards, and submit grades and records by established deadlines.
Ensure compliance with audit, quality assurance, and risk management procedures to maintain eminent service to staff and students.
Maintain the highest possible standards in teaching, research, and resource management, ensuring proper documentation of evaluation and monitoring procedures.
Prepare correct and accurate e-Course files for all assigned courses.
Maintain availability to students in person, via email, or phone, and communicate availability to students and faculty and staff each semester.
Keep a flexible weekly schedule to facilitate student learning and access, with any changes in class timings or locations requiring prior approval.
Coordinate with the Dean and other faculty members to enhance the university’s research projects.
Assist students with research and internships, ensuring the highest level of quality, integrity, and ethics in all research activities.
Create a dynamic and forward-looking learning environment for both staff and students, supervising academic advising of students in College programs.
Remain current in the academic or program discipline, attending professional conferences, maintaining licensure, certification, or continuing education requirements.
Participate in the faculty evaluation process and various projects serving the community.
Ensure a safe, healthy, hazard-free environment for both staff and students, adhering to health and safety requirements.
Manage and preserve students’ records of achievements, ensuring proper maintenance of university equipment under the Colleges control.
