SUMMARY

The Marketing Inside Sales Representative holds a crucial position within Carolina Cat, responsible for driving sales revenue by providing comprehensive support to both existing customers and potential leads. Their primary focus lies in converting marketing-generated leads and machine quotes into successful sales transactions. Key responsibilities include efficiently managing the sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, and engaging in regular performance reviews with management to optimize sales strategies. By maintaining an organized call cycle and actively promoting dealership services during customer interactions, they ensure accurate CRM updates and cultivate customer satisfaction. Through proactive engagement and meticulous attention to customer needs, the Marketing Inside Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in sustaining Carolina Cat’s competitive advantage and fostering enduring client relationships.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • College or technical degree required.
  • Proven track record in equipment sales that demonstrates ability to consistently achieve and exceed goals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel, inventory/order processing software, and contact management systems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage pipeline to follow up and transact on marketing-generated leads and machine quotes to close deals.
  • Meet participation goals for machine sales and proactively close out won and lost sales.
  • Participate in weekly 1:1s with manager to review daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain an active call cycle with consideration for a diverse customer base.
  • During customer interactions, update accurate customer account information, equipment population, and activities within CRM system.
  • During customer calls, promote dealer services including construction equipment, rental, and parts and service.
  • Build customer satisfaction through meeting customer needs and making warm handoffs as needed.
  • Partner with sales management on coverage health (account hand-ups once sales are completed).
  • Complete warm handoffs for new customers with onboarding team.
  • Participate in sales training as directed by manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
