Job Summary:
Red Hat is looking for an Events intern to join our EMEA Communications and Events team, based in Brno, Czech Republic. This is a hybrid contract, allowing you to work from home and in the office, and can be part-time or full-time. We’ll need you to be detail-oriented, possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This position will give you insights into event support and its role in building awareness and pipeline within an enterprise software organisation like Red Hat, as well as the opportunity to work within a corporate marketing team and collaborate with many different teams and business functions. You’ll also experience our open-source culture first hand.

The focus for Red Hat’s Intern Program is a dual partnership between the Emerging Talent Team and our intern managers. We can offer you professional development, social engagement and networking, performance and development, and meaningful work throughout your time at Red Hat.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support cross functional internal and external event delivery for the region
- Support the project management of multiple events concurrently
- Support the team on reporting and demonstrating the proof of performance for sponsoring partners at our proprietary events
- Working in collaboration with marketing and field teams, build and maintain a central EMEA in person event calendar and communicate to wider team
- Communicate effectively with wider internal comms team and schedule regular updates from EMEA Events Team and support the generation of event Source pages when required
- Support, communicate and help implement event best practices and operating standards across EMEA
- Organise the ordering and delivery of SWAG items if and when required for 3rd party events
- Work with the web team to support the generation of external event web pages when required
- Collaborate with our marketing technology team to generate eg email invitations, follow-up, event surveys etc when required to build expertise and experience with our event technology platforms
- Network with other talented interns in an inclusive and diverse workplace where you can be yourself and thrive
Required Skills:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor’s degree or in a Master’s degree in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during full duration of the internship
- Knowledge and strong interest in event management and their role to play in driving brand awareness, engagement and pipeline
- Curious about enterprise open-source software and its positive impact on the world
- Ability to quickly build rapport and collaborate with various teams daily
- Be a self-starter and a strong team player, enthusiastic, flexible, and have the ability to work on your own
