Play Braam is a vibrant design and creative, property, events, hospitality and media company that is constantly evolving. The inner-city neighbourhood is home to a diverse mix of people, from students and artists to professionals.
We are currently expanding our team and seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented and organised individual to lead Marketing and Digital Marketing for the company. This role is ideal for someone who has at least 3-5 years’ experience working in a company within the this field, who thrives in a fast passed environment. The individual must be passionate about marketing, driving community awareness, have strong digital skills with a growth mindset.
The role and responsibilities are outlined below this includes but is not limited to:
Role:Strategic:
Gain an understanding of the customer needs by analysing insights and conducting customer research.
Build an annual marketing and digital marketing strategy and present this to senior stakeholders.
Use social media tools to drive growth and awareness of the precinct.
Develop an integrated programming calendar ensuring a clear focus throughout the year.
Deliver post analysis reports for various marketing campaigns to measure success.
Gain an understand of challenges, priorities and initiatives within the business and find solutions to these.
Gain an understand of what is happening in the community and beyond, staying up to date with trends and what is relevant.

COMMERCIAL:

Use digital platforms to promote events and sell tickets when relevant.
Assist the events team with promotions and activations that align with the strategic objectives of the business.
Execute business objectives to drive revenue
Ensure all communication adheres to Play Braam standards.
Carry out weekly walks of the neighbourhood to ensure that it presents accordingly while developing relationships of those in the community, seeking out promotional opportunities and supporting retailers.
Monitor all digital touch points – Website, social channels, Google platforms, Emails to ensure they are always up to date.
Innovation;
Build a compelling digital content library to use owned images on all platforms.
Think outside the box and how to engage customers on a deeper level.
Practice everyday innovation and problem-solving; identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Find unique ways to use social platforms to communicate with the audience.
Curate pop-up experiences with the hospitality and eventing teams that are enticing and engaging to lure in a new audience.
Practise agility and how to adapt to an ever changing environment.
Use digital marketing paid budget to engage the audience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Business or Psychology.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using social media platforms and marketing tools - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Business.
Proficient in Canva or other graphic design tools.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-manage time and deliverables.
Strong copywriting skills.
This role operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where each day presents unique challenges and opportunities. Adaptability and readiness to tackle diverse tasks daily are essential. The work is characterised by constant learning, ensuring that every day brings new insights and growth opportunities.
This position requires full-time on-site presence from the office in Braamfontein Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm. Working evenings and weekends when required is also a must
