Description:

Overview:
Lutron is seeking a creative and driven Marketing Leader to grow the adoption of our flagship product category out of our Corporate Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this role, you will own the development and execution of high impact marketing strategies focused on our most widely adopted product solutions – standalone dimmers and lighting controls. This category of lighting controls – that of replacing a standard light switch with a device that lets you set light between on and off – was created by Lutron. Our company founder, Joel Spira, invented the solid-state dimmer in 1959, and we have continued to make this line of solutions differentiated and value-added to our customers for over 60 years. In this position, you will be responsible for positioning this innovation and the benefit it brings to our professional installer base and the customers they serve. You will translate powerful target audience insights to actionable marketing plans and messaging, and your impact will be growing awareness, adoption, and ultimately sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the development and execution of marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns that grow product adoption and ultimately sales.
  • Discover powerful target audience insights and translate them into actionable marketing plans and messaging across paid, earned and owned media touchpoints.
  • Lead and develop the cross-functional team to successfully implement cohesive and aligned marketing strategies and plans.
  • Work collaboratively across various functions including Creative Services (internal and external agencies), Product Management, MarTech, Sales, Data & Analytics, Finance and more.
  • Support the launch of new products by developing campaign strategies, messaging, and touchpoint plans to ensure product benefits are effectively showcased and effectively positioned to target audiences.
  • Measure, track, and optimize campaign performance by establishing KPIs, conducting analysis, and reporting on progress towards achieving peak performance and a high return on marketing investment.
  • Drive the creation of annual marketing plans and budget, customer research activities, and other strategic growth initiatives related to the focused product category.
  • Proactively help build Lutron’s emerging marketing capabilities by sharing and applying external best practices, improving processes, and developing individual and team skills and knowledge.
  • Become knowledgeable in Lutron’s broader product portfolio and go-to-market approach to maximize your understanding and impact.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. MBA Preferred
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • 7+ years of marketing experience required, with direct experience in Business to Business (B2B) marketing.
  • Experience managing external agencies and internal creative services.
  • Understanding and experience across digital forms of paid, earned and owned media (e.g. paid social, search, PR, website, CRM), sales channel marketing touchpoints (e.g. packaging, merchandising, eCommerce product pages, distributor/retailer advertising) and sales enablement (e.g. training, brochures, demonstrations presentations).
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
