Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Marketing program management

  • Execute comprehensive marketing plans and tactical initiatives
  • Report on marketing department performance and ROI to the Senior Leadership Team through monthly metrics
  • Lead annual budget planning process and maintain financial compliance through NetSuite:
  • Process and reconcile event expenses
  • Manage vendor payments
  • Track departmental budget utilization
  • Monitor competitor activities and market positioning via LinkedIn and industry channels

Conference sponsorships

  • Negotiate and manage sponsorship contracts
  • Coordinate staff registrations and speaking engagements
  • Drive onsite branding implementation
  • Track and report on event ROI
  • Maintain timeline of annual conference commitments

Customer events & webinars

  • Develop and execute event plans and budgets
  • Manage venue selection and contract negotiations
  • Coordinate agendas and speakers, working with HR to confirm internal speaker availability
  • Lead presentation development and practice sessions
  • Execute digital promotion efforts
  • Maintain events calendar and coordinate with product release schedules

Product knowledge maintenance

  • Coordinate with HR and product teams to schedule and support monthly product inductions for new starters
  • Maintain and update product information centre on company Wiki
  • Coordinate bi-monthly company roundups:
  • Gather content from product teams
  • Work with HR to collect and edit department updates
  • Create engaging final content

Customer communications

  • Product release communications
  • Manage the timely release of regular product updates

Content marketing

  • Oversee development of marketing collateral across all product lines
  • Review and edit various content types including:
  • Product brochures and fact sheets
  • Customer announcements
  • Sales messaging
  • White papers
  • Blog content

External & analyst relations

  • Maintain procurement portal (Achilles) with up-to-date company information, coordinating with HR and Finance for accurate submissions
  • Support industry analyst relationships:
  • Negotiate and manage annual retainer agreements
  • Coordinate award submissions
  • Prepare executive leadership team for analyst interviews
  • Manage monthly analyst engagement activities
  • Coordinate annual SourceBook updates with product and sales teams

Brand development

  • Lead the rollout of new brand initiatives across:
  • External sales and marketing assets
  • Company intranet (Bradynet)
  • Product screens and internal systems (Wiki, Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Jira)
  • Drive relationship with design agency:
  • Manage project budgets
  • Develop and sign off on creative briefs
  • Review concept development
  • Ensure timely delivery of assets

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven planning as well as hands-on execution capabilities
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication

  • Ability to support and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Able to work exceptionally both within a team and as an individual contributor

  • Comfortable with both leadership and hands-on execution
  • Significant experience (5 - 7 years) in B2B marketing, with exposure to energy, commodities, or financial sectors preferred
  • Demonstrated success in events management and execution
  • Experience managing analyst relations and external communications
  • Strong understanding of brand management principles
  • Knowledge of marketing metrics and ROI measurement
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com) and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles
  • Experience maintaining internal knowledge bases and documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and manage marketing initiatives including events, content planning, and brand management
  • Serve as a key liaison between marketing, product teams, HR, and other departments, ensuring alignment of marketing activities with business objectives
  • Lead and execute high-impact customer events and industry conferences while supporting relationships with key industry analyst
