It is the nature of work of Community Foster Care, that tasks and responsibilities are unpredictable and varied. All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises where tasks are not specifically covered in the Job Description and have to be undertaken.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

You will need to be a flexible and versatile marketer who will be wholly responsible for Community Foster Care’s Marketing Strategy, leading the way in growing the number of Foster Families in our community. You need to take a strategic lead in the promotion of Community Foster Care’s brand and fully embed yourself into Community Foster Care’s values and approach. You will develop and lead diverse marketing and communication activities, (traditional and digital marketing and social media,) with responsibility for the entire marketing proposition including designing and implementing marketing strategies. Ultimately you will be responsible for telling Community Foster Care’s stories and supporting others to do this, so that likeminded individuals are drawn to us and want to work together with us.
Critical to success in the role and to Community Foster Care will be the ongoing successful recruitment and retention of foster carers, in which your Marketing Strategy will support with the potential to grow skilled and resilient therapeutic parents, who are able to provide, a safe loving and nurturing home to the children in our care. You will need to be tenacious, ambitious and creative in these endeavours.
Community Foster Care is a therapeutic fostering agency; we are developing a reflective culture where our community is encouraged to be curious about themselves and each other and are helped to be so. It is critical that workers are committed and prepared to actively engage in this approach.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To manage effectively the marketing budget to support these endeavours.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Line Management of the Engagement and Content Officer. Overseeing their workload, ensuring 1-2-1’s, supervisions and appraisal are completed. To be an active member of the Wider managers forum. Working closely with other wider managers in the organisation to support delivery and cooperation.
