We are looking for people to join our fantastic team at Somerset House Trust. As the home of cultural innovators, the Trust connects creativity and the arts with the broader society.
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join the UK’s largest creative community of artists and home of cultural innovation, Somerset House, on a 1-year contract basis. You will work with our Senior Marketing Manager and the rest of the marketing team to execute our marketing strategies, driving brand growth and business performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creative and implementing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels both online and offline and understand how to tailor those campaigns for a variety of existing and growth audiences.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with a social first brand.
  • Experience in not only selling to a customer, but providing value to them through online and offline channels.
  • A strong understanding of the Somerset House audience with a deep understanding of consumer trends and insights within and beyond arts and culture.
  • Highly entrepreneurial – autonomy, strategic thinking and collaboration are critical to drive our brand.
  • A growth mindset – eager to improve our ways of working and passionate about continuously upskilling yourself and the team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to come up with innovative ideas within in a range of budgets.
  • Passionate about arts & culture and how this sector challenges old ways of thinking and reshapes society.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement audience first marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth with both our existing audiences and prospective growth audiences.
  • Monitor full funnel marketing mix strategies to build integrated, engaging consumer-first brand experiences that grow our market share.
  • Plan multi-channel marketing campaigns for our events calendar and key moments across digital, email, content, and traditional media.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to refine strategies and improve ROI.
  • Ensure all of the creative and content teams are fully onboarded to strategies so that all of our content supports who we are trying to be as a brand.
  • Manage and report on marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including exhibitions, commercial and visitor experience, to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as agencies, vendors, and media outlets, to amplify marketing efforts.
