Description:

Pearl Abyss the company behind the highly acclaimed MMORPG Black Desert Online (BDO) - is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented Marketing Manager for its European Publishing Office to accelerate growth and reach millions of players across all platforms, specially in Console & PC.
As a Marketing Manager, you’ll work with the publishing and development teams to build and execute marketing plans and activation strategies that resonate with our players within the EMEA region.
You will grow and maintain the European player base with creative marketing plans, barter activations and develop a performance-based player acquisition plan.
You will join a lean but dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all Pearl Abyss current and future titles will achieve European goals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for games and knowledge of industry trends and key players
  • 3+ years of experience in PC & Console games including three years in a product/brand/marketing role
  • Highly numerate and data fluent you’ll own your budgets and be accountable to them as well as having the ability to interpret research and analysis and use it daily to make good decisions quickly.
  • A creative flair with an eye for detail when briefing and feeding back on marketing artwork, assets and trailers.
  • You have excellent time management skills and understand the importance of hitting deadlines and are able to work under pressure and deal with ad-hoc changes.
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours, depending on the company needs and project deadlines.
  • Strong creative and brief writing skills.
  • English language capabilities of C1 or higher (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Korean language capabilities are a plus.
  • Occasional International travel may be required

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager you’ll be hugely influential in creating, executing, tracking and optimizing integrated campaigns on PC & Console platforms.
  • Create and execute marketing plans that deliver against awareness and revenue expectations, including budgets, KPI sets and beat schedules.
  • You’ll work closely with PR, Community and Live Service teams to align messaging and ensure campaigns are on-brand.
  • Collaborating with internal creative teams to create best-in-class marketing assets such as display banners, video ads, social media assets and ad copy.
  • Develop close relationships with PlayStation and act as a primary contact to secure advertising inventory and stay on top of best practices, new ad units and trends.
  • Work together with the wider marketing team to ideate ideas, select content creators and execute influencer campaigns.
  • Provide input and support on international event activations.
