This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of forecasting and monitoring results in Personal Lines, to drive new business at an acceptable return on investment. In partnership with team members across marketing and analytics, responsibilities include tracking results, process improvement, and partnering closely with other departments. Additionally, the Marketing Operations Sr. Specialist will support the expense management and forecasting processes for the total Personal Lines marketing budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analysis. Interest or experience in marketing or related fields (customer experience, digital test and learn roles, etc.) is preferred.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office in Hartford, CT 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Own the monitoring of results and analysis and creating tools and reports necessary to identify trends and areas of opportunity
  • Partners with the Marketing Ops leader to identify opportunities to refine workflows and tools needed to manage internal forecasting and variance monitoring.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day tracking of department budgets
  • Partner with Sales and Operations, including routines that drive collaboration and effective communication to leaders and front line staff
  • Work closely with vendors (i.e. quote follow-up program), invoicing, monitoring effectiveness and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Identify and implement innovative strategies that lead to forecasting enhancements to increase growth potential and/or reduce errors
  • Create and present materials that clearly articulate business results, outcomes, or strategy for a variety of audiences

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 3 years in marketing or analytical role
  • Experience developing strategy and critical thinking– diagnosis, guiding policy and coherent action – and executing against a plan
  • Strong analytical competency and proficiency with tools such as Excel
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; energetic self-starter who takes initiative and can manage internal/external resources effectively
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and effectively navigate and partner with other parts of Personal Lines organization including Sales, Finance and Operations
  • Track record of success working in a deadline-driven environment

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$80,000 - $120,000
