As the Marketing Performance Analysis Director you will empower a high-performing team of analytical experts to unlock insights that drive marketing effectiveness, customer acquisition, and revenue generation. As a champion of data-driven decision-making, you will evangelize the team’s capabilities across Sage, positioning them as strategic partners and elevating their impact within the organization. You will set the agenda for advanced marketing analytics at Sage, as we transform our marketing team to be more data-driven
About the team
The Marketing Analytics team ensures that marketing decision-makers across Sage have data and insights at their fingertips to drive growth. Positioned in the market to consult and advise marketers on the relevant data and insights, the team includes a mix of Analytical Consultants and Data Scientists. They bring their analytical skills to solve marketing challenges, from campaign planning to automation to measurement.
Minimum qualifications
- Proven experience in analytics, consulting, or banking industries. Preferred: with a focus on marketing and advertising analytics
- Proven Analytics leadership experience with excellent people management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to align marketing automation strategies with overall business objectives
- Consultative approach to business partnering, capturing requirements, aligning stakeholders, validating solutions, and documenting outcomes
- Business acumen with strong understanding of key business metrics and the ability to align marketing analytics efforts with broader business goal
Responsibilities:
Summary of your day-to-day?
In this role, you will manage and develop the marketing analytics team at Sage by setting learning agendas, managing talent, and establishing a flexible team structure for long-term growth. You will define and implement daily workflows for effective collaboration within the Marketing Strategy & Operations team and with other business stakeholders. Your focus will be on developing a strategic roadmap to advance marketing analytics maturity, identifying essential skills, processes, and tools to modernise Sage’s approach. Engaging with senior stakeholders in marketing, commercial, and finance sectors, you will ensure analytics are integrated into their operations and work with the marketing data leadership team to foster a data-driven culture. You will collaborate with the Marketing Effectiveness team to create a comprehensive measurement strategy for marketing investments, incorporating econometrics, attribution, and testing frameworks. By enhancing how Sage utilizes data, you will refine advertising targeting, promote customer centricity, and guide teams in leveraging audience data effectively. Additionally, you will elevate the profile of the marketing analytics team within Sage, building internal advocacy for their crucial role in driving regional growth strategies.
