Are you our new Marketing Sales Unit (MSU) Controller / Head of Finance Nordics?
WHO ARE YOU?
You are a results-driven finance professional with a strong strategic mindset and extensive leadership experience. With at least 10 years of experience in Finance and Control due to its complexity, including some years in a commercial finance role, you bring deep expertise in driving business growth and delivering actionable insights.
Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and navigate complex matrix organizations makes you a valuable partner in aligning strategic objectives with operational success. You are skilled in stakeholder management and can influence senior leadership to drive impactful results.
Key attributes we are looking for:
- A proven track record in strategic leadership, with the ability to align business and financial strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen, including expertise in pricing, margin optimization, and business growth.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across teams and functions.
- Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems; certifications like CPA, CMA, or CIMA are advantageous.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian being an advantage.
This role is not just about finance—it’s about leadership, strategy, and making a difference. If you’re ready to embrace international opportunities, take on high-level responsibilities, and drive meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
As MSU Controller / Head of Finance Nordics, you will take on a high-impact role that combines strategic leadership, financial expertise, and commercial acumen. Acting as a key Business Partner to the Decorative Paints leadership team, you will guide decision-making to ensure top-line growth and bottom-line profitability in a dynamic and competitive market. This position carries a strong commercial focus, emphasizing collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance functions to align strategies and achieve business objectives. You will lead the finance agenda for the Nordics, embedding standardized processes, driving transformation projects, and ensuring continuous improvement. With a strong presence in the Nordic region, AkzoNobel operates across diverse channels, including B2B, B2C, wholesalers, small- and large-scale outlets, and company-owned stores.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director Middle Europe North, you will also play a vital role in supporting restructuring and integration efforts while influencing regional and global strategies.
This is a fulltime permanent position, and you will be placed at our site just outside Malmö. This role will be offered hybrid working.
