MARKETING SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of promotional events and activations. This role requires a strategic focus on driving event performance, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and analyzing event data. Excellent organizational skills and a creative approach to problem solving is required.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the planning, on site execution and recapping of all event/activation assignments
  • Activations will occur statewide including Northern and Southern Arizona regions
  • Collaborate with leadership in marketing planning meetings and develop comprehensive market plans
  • Lead and manage the execution of multiple promotions and events simultaneously, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and budget parameters.
  • Manges the tracking and analyzing of event or activation performance metrics
  • Determines the financial viability and return on investment of the project
  • Oversees and manages details of assigned budget per event or activation
  • Develop and oversee on/off premise programming for key events
  • Leads and conducts corporate on and off premise promotions and samplings
  • Manages the schedule of volunteers and marketing representatives
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and promotional standards across all events.
  • Manages fluctuating work volumes throughout the year and balances workload across peak and off peak seasons
  • Build and maintain relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders including leadership, vendors and promoters
  • Work with promoter(s) to sell in total portfolio, if applicable
  • Attend and complete all necessary training classes for continuous improvement

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Computer / digitally literate; ability to operate Windows operating system. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Prior experience related to events/promotions is preferred.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred sixty-five (165) pounds.
  • Work in office, event sites, and occasionally activate in local bars and nightclubs.
  • Special Event venues (outdoor festivals, concerts, golf tournaments, charity events etc.)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Fluent in Spanish (read, write and speak) is preferred but not required.
