KTLA seeks a creative and organized Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic Sales team. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing team by creating engaging recaps and presentations and overseeing the execution of promotional campaigns. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other marketing tools to communicate our brand’s message and drive audience engagement effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-department collaboration including creative services and news, to gather necessary information and assets.
  • Contribute creative ideas for marketing initiatives and sponsorships.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of multiplatform marketing campaigns
  • Support the marketing team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and recaps, and tracking marketing/promotional campaigns as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal/external partners and vendors.
  • Manage on-air giveaways and prize fulfillment.
  • Maintain marketing trackers and calendars to ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns and promotions.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years experience in marketing, preferably within the television or media industry.
  • Familiarity with media-related software including Wide Orbit, Kantar, Google Ad Manager, and other comparable software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with clear and concise presentation skills.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing daily responsibilities and special projects.
  • Experience with media campaigns through linear and digital platforms.
  • Comfortable presenting alongside account executives and management during key client meetings.
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation - $28.84+/hr commensurate with experience and skill level
