Description:
ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated marketing expertise including planning and implementing marketing campaigns
- Experience with Google Analytics preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong communications, organizational, problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage effectively multiple projects under deadline pressure in a team environment

Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field is required
MINIMUM JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in marketing in a similar role, preferably in an agency, university or academic setting

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Marketing Specialist will assist the Director in planning, implementing and assessing marketing and social media strategies in support of University recruitment and branding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support the development, implementation, and tracking of marketing and communication campaigns that serve to enhance student recruitment
- Assist the Director of Marketing Communications with the timely placement of advertisements and researching media options and contacts for marketing and branding as assigned
- Maintain advertising schedules, manage design requests, review and approvals of proofs, and ensure deadlines are met
- Assist in the development and effective management of the marketing budget
- Provide analysis and reporting related to the Universitys marketing efforts across all media, online and traditional
- Analyze the performance of the University web site, including the effectiveness of content, traffic sources, user engagement, audience behavior, etc. and recommend strategies for improvement
- Evaluate new marketing tactics, trends and channels and social media usage by other higher education institutions and other industries; prepare summaries of relevant information in a timely manner
- Proactively search websites, blogs and other web-based communities related to college search and higher education in general identifying new creative ways to support recruitment or to promote the Universitys brand, present relevant findings in a timely and concise manner
