We are looking for a passionate Marketing Specialist who will be working with Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.
With a pool of more than 9,200 seafarers and over 500 shore-based employees all over the world, Wilhelmsen Ship Management is one of world’s largest third-party ship managers with a portfolio of more than 450 vessels and counting.
The position will be located at 1 Sentral, KL Sentral and it is easy to get to by public transportation. This position will report to Digital Marketing Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Main responsibilities

  • Content Development - Initiate, develop and deliver compelling digital content, including posts, videos, and infographics, tailored for our corporate digital assets, social media channels, and various platforms. Ensure seamless alignment with the company’s branding strategy to create resonant content for the target audience.
  • Business Writing - Write articulate and business-relevant content in English. Ensure that written communication reflects the company’s tone, effectively conveying key messages and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Audience Development - Contribute to audience development initiatives, driving qualified traffic to designated websites. Leverage a strategic blend of SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, and social media tactics to enhance brand visibility and foster engagement.
  • Event Coordination - Assist in coordinating diverse events, from trade shows and conferences to philanthropy initiatives and customer events.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience of 2+ years in a marketing role.

Mandatory requirements

  • Exceptional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing principles and current trends.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments to ensure successful task and project completion.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure.

Software Proficiency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Data Studios.
  • Kindly bring a portfolio of your written work and videos you have created to the interview.
